#18: Trust your gut š®
This week, we're having a hippie woo woo moment and appreciating our gut feelings. Also, a podcast I love, an ode to forest sounds, and a summery to-do list.
Iām a skeptic in lots of ways, but I firmly believe in the power of intuition. That little tug behind your belly button that pulls you toward (or away from) something, the feeling that you should take a different route home today, or the tendency to pick up your phone two seconds before your alarm sounds.
The way we separate knowledge out into the body fascinates me. The brain is the logic center, the heart is the emotional center, and the gut is the mystical, mysterious intuitive center. Our gut has information that we donāt logically understand, but weāre still called to follow it.
Itās easy to dismiss gut feelings if they donāt align with either logic or emotion. Gut feelings feel primitive and illogical like they donāt conform to standards of reason. But thatās what makes them so powerful. Thatās what makes them so important.
