#8: Set yourself free đ
This week, I announce an exciting project I've been working on in secret for two months. Also, an ode to free time, an appreciation post for morning routines, and a huge list of queer romances.
Happy Friday! This weekâs newsletter comes with a special announcementâŠ
The Hello Heroine podcast is back!
In case youâre new to this corner of the internet, I have a podcast thatâs also called Hello Heroine. In each episode, I talk about what it means to be the heroine of your own story, to bravely make your own rules, to live a life that you curate.
After a 7-month hiatus, I am so glad to be behind the mic again and creating podcast content. I could not be more pumped for this seasonâs line-up of interviews and conversations.
The season three trailer is out right now and the first episode drops on Tuesday, March 1. You can check out the pod on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. If you listen somewhere else, hereâs a complete list of streaming platforms.
Make sure you subscribe, rate, and review for some good karma đ
Now, back to your regularly scheduled content.
DOâS and DONâTS:
DO: get up when you want to get up. Time is a social construct anyway.
DONâT: forget to water your plants.
DO: read 10 pages of that book you abandoned a few months ago.
DONâT: pay too much attention to your horoscope this weekend. Youâre made of stardust too, just like the constellations.
DO: order some Girl Scout cookies, preferably from this troop thatâs made of young girls in New York Cityâs shelter system.
DONâT: carry your phone with you all the time. Itâs okay to leave the phone in the other room for a little while.
âRequiredâ reading:

A coconut margarita recipe I canât wait to try (The Stripe)
This weekâs aesthetic: hints of spring
The heroine recommends: Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson
I read Black Cake for the Bad Bitch Book Club meeting this week and WOW. This book is pure magic and heartbreak and hope and connection. The story crosses generations seamlessly and is beautifully performed on audio. I cannot recommend this book enough!
Shop online*, listen to the audiobook*, or rent from your local library.

A parting thought:
Iâm excited for whatâs to come, and Iâm glad youâre here to see it.
