#29: Pop the champagne
This week, we're celebrating accomplishments. Also, a sweet recipe I'm making on repeat, a playlist to help you focus, and 99 ways to get better sleep.
Starting this weekend with a shameless brag: I got published in ALLURE 🥹🍾❤️🔥 click here to check out the article!
This is my first “big” publication and I’m still riding the high from seeing my name on such a huge website. It’s been a massive ego boost AND plenty of motivation to keep doggedly pursuing a career in writing.
In truth I’m too excited to do a whole introspective reflection on the gravity of this moment, so let’s just be excited together xx
You’ll also notice I added some new sections to the newsletter; hope you enjoy them!
To-do list:
🛏 Change your sheets
🧩 Start a puzzle on your kitchen table
🫶 Leave an anonymous compliment on a sticky note for a friend or coworker

Recipe box: easy French hot chocolate
A sweet, simple recipe for decadent hot chocolate. This stuff puts Swiss Miss to shame and takes about 5 minutes to make. The trick is to go low and slow so the chocolate doesn’t seize on the bottom of the pan.
1 cup milk (or dairy-free milk)
4 oz chocolate chips
1 tbsp(ish) of brown sugar
A splash of vanilla
A pinch of salt
A pinch of cinnamon
Heat your milk, brown sugar, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon on medium-low until it barely starts to bubble. Add the chocolate and whisk constantly until the mixture is thick and smooth. Pour into your favorite mug and enjoy.
Background music:
I’m deep into essay grading at the moment, so this ambient indie playlist is helping me power through my workload.
